CGH Medical Center is seeking a Point of Care Coordinator/Laboratory Educator to oversee POCT across hospital and off-site locations, ensuring regulatory compliance and ongoing staff development.

The role focuses on training, competency assessments, and leadership for non-laboratory staff, with collaboration across the laboratory and clinical teams. Candidates should have MLS/Medical Technology credentials and POCT experience.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in MLS/Medical Technology or related field; ASCP/AMT certification required or eligible within 6 months.
• At least 4 years of technical experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• CLIA '88 Technical Consultant qualification preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• POC testing experience and knowledge of CLIA/CAP guidelines preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership and oversight for non-laboratory staff performing POCT across hospital and off-site locations.
• Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and ongoing competency assessments for staff and students.
• Develop and implement training programs for new technologies and protocols.
• Maintain operator certification files and QA/PI program participation.
• Serve as liaison with educational institutions and manage contracts and schedules.
• Review QC data, ensure regulatory compliance, and support inspections and accreditation efforts.
