Job summary

Jasper Engines is seeking a detail-oriented worker for POD 1 - Authentic Engine Repair in Jasper, IN. The role involves inspecting major castings for defects and performing necessary repairs or modifications. Candidates may train to weld, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 6:30am–3:00pm.

The environment is climate controlled and offers growth opportunities. Starting wage is $20.00 per hour, with wage increases through performance reviews within the first two years; PTO after 30 days and 10 holidays;

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand or walk for an 8–10 hour shift.
• Able to use common handheld tools.
• Stooping is frequently required.
• Overhead reaching occasionally.
• Welding ability is helpful and training provided.

Responsibilities

POD 1 - Authentic Engine Repair

Job Overview:

This position is responsible for inspecting major casting for any defects, flaws or modification needed. Once verified what repairs/modifications are needed they will be made. Will need to do cosmetic welding (welding experience not required but helpful). Will train right candidate to weld. This position will require the candidate to be self-driven to complete the tasks.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:00pm

Qualifications

• The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs
• The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 8-10 hours)
• The ability to use handheld tools such as: Impacts, torque wrenches, hammers, punches, grinders, belt sanders, etc.
• Walking: Occasionally
• Stooping (forward leaning): Frequently
• Reaching/Working Overhead: Occasionally

• Starting rate $20.00 + based on experience.
