Job summary

Ridgeview Medical Center in Minnesota is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist to join the laboratory team. This role focuses on performing phlebotomy, a wide range of testing across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and blood banking, and ensuring quality control.

The ideal candidate holds an associate or bachelor’s degree in medical technology and ASCP-certified or eligible, with strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science.
• ASCP/CLIA certified or eligible to be certified within first year.
• Ability to pass background checks and work with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy procedures.
• Performs testing analysis of a wide variety of patient specimens according to procedures defined in each area of the lab including quality control, all testing needed for regulatory needs and competency assessment.
• Performs basic troubleshooting techniques and clearly reports issues to the Lead MLS or other appropriate personnel.
• Assists in maintaining adequate inventories.
• Assists with the training and orientation of new staff and visiting students.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
