Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, CA, is seeking a layout engineer for the PMU team. You will work on high-performance analog IPs and complex chip layouts, collaborating with analog/digital design, integration, CAD, and engineering teams.

You will interpret LVS/DRC/ERC reports, optimize layouts for matching, area, and power, and use advanced CAD tools to produce robust layouts in SubMicron CMOS technologies. A BS and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS in EE or related field with 3+ years industry experience.
• Analog/mixed-signal layout design experience.
• Experience with SubMicron CMOS technologies.
• Ability to interpret Calibre, DRC, LVS, ERC reports.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule layout work with circuit design teams.
• Identify failure-prone circuits and layout structures.
• Run design verification tools at mega-cell and chip levels.
• Interpret LVS/DRC/ERC reports to optimize layouts.
• Deliver robust layouts meeting matching, area and power targets.
• Utilize CAD tools and mask design knowledge.
