Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking clerical support for Outpatient Rehabilitation across multiple locations. You will handle registration, scheduling and point-of-service collections while performing general office duties.

Responsibilities include patient check-in, scheduling across PT/OT/ST, and navigating the EMR system. Strong customer service and knowledge of insurance benefits are essential to support therapy services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associates Degree preferred.
• BLS certification from the AHA within 6 months of hire.
• Combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Register all new patients with correct demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule referrals and appointments for PT/OT/ST across disciplines.
• Collect balances at the point of service.
• Answer multiple telephone lines, fax, and filing.
• Prepare Medical Records for scanning.
• Provide courteous customer service using AIDET.
• Navigate the EMR system and complete daily assignments.
• Explain insurance benefits and deductibles to patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Outpatient Rehabilitation service lines.
