Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Ohio is hiring for clerical support to Outpatient Rehabilitation across multiple locations. Role includes patient registration, scheduling referrals, POS collections, and general office duties.

You'll assist with medical records preparation, navigate the EMR system, and communicate insurance details to patients. AIDET training and strong customer service are essential as you work with patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; an Associates degree is preferred.
• BLS by the AHA within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Register new patients with accurate demographic and insurance info and ensure check-in before therapy.
• Schedule referrals and appointments across multiple areas and disciplines; handle cancellations and rescheduling.
• Handle Point of Service collections for current and previous balances.
• Perform general office duties: multi-line calls, faxing, filing.
• Prepare Medical Records for scanning.
• Provide courteous customer service using AIDET skills to patients, families and staff.
• Navigate the EMR system and complete daily assignments.
• Explain insurance benefits including deductibles and out-of-pocket costs to patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Outpatient Rehabilitation Service Lines.
