Job summary

The PMO Civil Project Engineer III at Jardine in Chicago, IL will oversee and manage multiple CIP projects for the Chicago Department of Water, coordinating design, planning and construction oversight with service providers.

Responsibilities include leading scope development, QA/QC, budget monitoring, and client communications; you will prepare plans, estimates and technical reports while guiding junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• PE license preferred; licensure may be required for senior roles.
• 15+ years of related engineering and project management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; client interaction.
• Experience with water/wastewater infrastructure projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of detailed construction plans for roadways, utilities, and transportation projects.
• Coordinate design changes and revisions based on feedback from stakeholders.
• Communicate progress to project lead and clients; manage multiple milestones.
• Lead QA/QC reviews and maintain project documentation and meeting minutes.
• Manage permits, MS4 compliance, and reporting requirements.
• Liaise with city/dept teams and external service providers to deliver projects.
