Job summary

DBS Headquarters in Chicago, IL is seeking a PMO Civil Engineer Associate I to support the Water Department’s CIP. The role involves compliance tasks, title 35 audits, and coordination with internal teams on water/sewer projects.

Ideal candidates have a 4-year engineering degree and 0–3 years of experience, with strong CAD and MS Office skills, plus the ability to work under supervision in a field/office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or higher.
• Engineer-in-Training Certificate preferred.
• 0–3 years of experience; 2+ years in water main/sewer design or field work preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe/Bluebeam, and CAD software; knowledge of IEPA regulations helpful.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to implement and update compliance templates.
• Execute IEPA Title 35 compliance audits for incoming tasks.
• Maintain Title 35 records and update regularly.
• Provide administrative support for Title 35 compliance tasks.
• Coordinate project records with BES Sewer and Records departments.
• Attend pre-construction Title 35 meetings and assist with agendas.
• Possibly manage moderate sewer/water projects under supervision.
• Prepare closeout reports for compliance and corrective actions.
