Job summary

City of Peoria is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the Water and Wastewater CIP projects within the Engineering Services Division. You will work with engineers, project managers, contractors, and external agencies to deliver capital improvement projects from concept through closeout.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders and ensure timely project delivery in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum of four years professional engineering experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer License required upon hire or equivalent.
• Valid AZ Driver’s License required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison with outside agencies and internal departments.
• Administer contracts and respond to City inquiries and concerns.
• Review engineering plans and specifications; evaluate solutions for expansions and new construction.
• Coordinate with developers, contractors, consultants, the public, and City leadership.
• Develop guidelines, codes, plans, and specifications; participate in consultant selection.
• Coordinate inspections; monitor project budgets; perform related duties as assigned.
