Job summary

Great Lakes Water Authority is seeking a Project Manager to support the delivery of its Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) through end-to-end project management. The role covers planning, design, permitting, and construction of water-related structures, with oversight of junior staff and mentoring responsibilities.

The position emphasizes cost control, schedule adherence, risk management, and quality assurance within the CIP Program Management Plan.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, or related field.
• Professional Engineer License in Michigan or PMP Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Minimum of four years of project management or related experience; education can be substituted with extensive experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, schedule and budget for CIP projects and report progress.
• Coordinate scope, schedule, and budget with the CIP Program Controls Team.
• Perform assessment, design and construction tasks for water treatment, storage and structural projects.
• Communicate with stakeholders and manage cross-discipline team activities.
• Develop baselines and forecasts for cost and schedule; monitor performance.
