Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Facilities Design and Implementation Manager (Water) to lead the PMO Facilities Task Lane for Chicago's Department of Water Management, directing design and construction of a multi-billion CIP that serves millions of residents daily.

The role requires PE licensure in Illinois, extensive water/wastewater project experience, and strong leadership to manage large multi-disciplinary teams through complex, high-budget programs, ensuring on-time delivery and cost control.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 8 years experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in Illinois or ability to obtain by reciprocity within 6 months.
• 15+ years of experience in Water/Wastewater as an engineer or project manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PMO Facilities team to execute the DWM CIP design and construction.
• Prepare scope of work, cost estimates, RFQs and evaluate bidders.
• Monitor design progress, budgets, schedules and coordinate with DPS and BES.
