Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced PMO leader to help build and mature a high-impact PMO function in a fast-growing environment. You will translate strategic priorities into executable program plans, establish governance structures, and create reusable artifacts to standardize delivery across teams.

You will partner with Operations leadership to ensure visibility, cadence, and accountability for cross-functional programs, and you will drive executive-ready updates and lessons learned throughout

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in program management or related roles.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
• Ability to bring structure to ambiguity and translate strategic priorities into executable plans.
• Experience building or improving operating processes, project management systems, or cross-functional workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including executive-ready summaries and status updates.
• Experience facilitating cross-functional meetings and driving accountability without direct authority.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with PMO tools such as Asana, Monday.com, Jira, Smartsheet, ClickUp.
• Preferred: PMO/Strategic operations in a high-growth company.

Responsibilities

• Partner with VP of Operations and PMO Lead to build PMO function from the ground up.
• Develop PMO charter, operating model, and intake/scoping processes.
• Create reusable templates, dashboards, and project artifacts.
• Establish governing standards (charters, RACIs, RAID logs, decision logs).
• Support change management and leader enablement as PMO rolls out.
• Define what work flows through PMO vs. departments.
• Serve as primary PMO owner for multi-workstream programs.
• Translate strategic priorities into coordinated program plans with milestones.
• Maintain program visibility across status, risks, blockers, dependencies, decisions, and resources.
• Coordinate with Strategic Owners and Executives to keep work moving.
• Ensure governance, cadence, reporting, and escalation paths.
• Draft executive updates and stakeholder communications.
• Build and maintain PMO portfolio dashboards.
• Lead program closeouts with lessons learned and artifacts.
