Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking an Application Engineer focused on PMIC design and customer enablement. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve design issues, drive enablement initiatives, and ensure successful tape-out and production ramp.

The role requires strong PMIC knowledge, cross-functional coordination, and excellent technical communication to deliver practical design solutions and reusable resources for ongoing engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 5+ years of PMIC experience.
• Master’s degree adds 3+ years, PhD adds 2+ years.
• Strong knowledge of PMIC design and tape-out processes.
• Experience with PDKs, device models, IPs, and EDA tools.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve PMIC design issues.
• Act as technical champion translating requirements into practical designs.
• Coordinate solutions across PDK, modeling, IP, EDA, reliability, and product engineering.
• Manage scope, milestones, risks, and recovery plans for customer programs.
• Provide technical guidance, case resolution, training, and documentation.
• Develop reusable resources like application notes and runbooks.
