Job summary

GlobalFoundries seeks an Application Engineer to deliver IC design and PMIC enablement solutions from initial engagement through tapeout and ramp. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, Master's 3+ years, or PhD 2+ years.
• Working knowledge of PMIC technology and circuit design development through tape-out, including battery chargers, DC-DC converters, LDOs, power switches, or related applications.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one relevant technical discipline and proficiency in a second, such as IC design, EDA tools and methodologies, semiconductor technology applications, or design enablement.
• Working knowledge of semiconductor design-enablement components and interfaces, including PDKs, device models, IP, EDA tools, reliability requirements, and product engineering.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve PMIC design and enablement issues.
• Serve as a technical champion for customers, translating needs into practical design solutions.
• Evaluate proposed solutions against customer requirements and objectives.
• Identify and drive resolution of enablement gaps impacting customer designs.
• Coordinate technical solutions across GF teams and external partners.
• Manage technical scope, milestones, risks, and recovery plans for projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support through reviews, training, and documentation.
• Represent Application Engineering in customer engagements and forums.
• Develop and maintain application notes and reusable resources.
• Advance capabilities through continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Support GF initiatives aligned with customer and business needs.
