Job summary

Spectrum Human is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the PM shift in Highland Park, MI. The role focuses on keeping our campus safe, secure, and functional to support youth programs.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, plumbing/heating repairs, and collaboration with supervisors to minimize disruptions. Requires 2+ years of related experience, a valid MI driver’s license, and the ability to pass background and medical screenings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance/repair or equivalent experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid, unrestricted State of Michigan Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to complete a background check and medical clearance (physical, TB test, drug screen).
• Must have a reliable home phone or cell phone.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Safe Spaces: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on campus buildings, utility systems, and mechanical equipment to ensure a safe, secure environment for youth.
• Troubleshoot & Repair: Service, repair, and install plumbing, heating fixtures, and essential facility systems.
• Support Campus Function: Collaborate with maintenance supervisors to complete repairs efficiently and minimize disruptions to daily youth programming.
• Ensure Operational Excellence: Keep all physical facility standards aligned with safety, security, and quality requirements.
