Job summary

The Summit Hotel in Cincinnati is seeking a Restaurant Server (PM) to deliver prompt, courteous food and beverage service. You will greet guests, take orders, attend pre-meal meetings, and ensure a clean, welcoming dining area.

This role requires 3-6 months in food/beverage service, ability to lift 20-40 lbs, and fluency in English. Competitive salary with benefits and employee discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• Vision ability to clearly see guest checks, orders, and signage.
• Manual coordination to punch buttons, carry trays, and balance items.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English.
• Physically able to lift/push/carry 20–40 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet and take food and drink orders from guests, serve items, and accommodate requests.
• Restock and perform opening/closing side-work to maintain operations.
• Memorize menu items, specials and recipes to answer questions and suggest options.
• Maintain cleanliness in the restaurant, wait-station, and service areas to meet health standards.
• Process payments accurately and document guest checks as orders are taken.
• Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings to stay informed about products and service.
• Present a clean, professional appearance and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Handle customer inquiries and issues with tact and courtesy, including difficult situations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
