Job summary

The Summit Hotel Cincinnati, OH is hiring a Banquet Server to provide friendly, efficient service during dining events. You will work closely with the Banquet team to deliver a memorable guest experience and support set-up, service, and breakdown for each function.

Responsibilities include reviewing BEOs, explaining menu items, keeping stations clean, and supporting lead servers. Prior experience in food/beverage service and TIPs certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent or greater.
• Three to six months experience in food/beverage services.
• Vision abilities to read checks and observe restaurant in low light.
• TIPs certification is required.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Check Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) at the start of each shift to ensure room is set as contracted.
• Set tables, glassware, flatware and silverware per dining rules.
• Greet and serve guests following policies for service of food and beverage.
• Maintain a clean, organized station and assist with clearing and replenishing during service.
• Assist Lead Banquet Server in setting up and breaking down buffet or service tables.

Be responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
