Job summary

Toro Kitchen & Bar is seeking an Expo to bridge kitchen and dining room, ensuring each plate leaves the pass on time with perfect presentation. You’ll organize orders, check accuracy, and coordinate with servers and cooks to keep service seamless.

Bring strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork. This role is primarily evening shifts, with weekend and holiday availability, offering growth within Gusto Group’s family of restaurants and bars.

Qualifications

• Previous expo/server/line cook experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to stay calm and organized under pressure.
• Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Organize and coordinate food orders from the kitchen to the front of house.
• Ensure all dishes meet presentation, portion, and temperature standards before leaving the kitchen.
• Communicate clearly with cooks, servers, and managers to maintain smooth service flow.
• Garnish plates and assist with final touches before service.
• Monitor ticket times and prioritize orders during busy periods.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the expo line and pass area.
• Assist with restocking plates, silverware, and service tools.
• Support the kitchen team with light prep or plating as needed.
