Job summary

Flying Horse Resort & Club in Colorado Springs is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to maintain a clean, organized kitchen and support our culinary team.

Responsibilities include washing and sanitizing dishes, keeping floors clean, and assisting with general kitchen tasks while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Will maintain a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes and preps food as needed. Keeps dish area organized and free of clutter. Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks. Maintains clean/dry floors throughout the shift.

• Assist in all facets of the operation
• Work in a professional, best-in-class kitchen with a passionate team of cooks and Chefs
• Wash and sanitize dishes using a dish machine and 3 compartment sinks
• Stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Continuously bend, reach, twist and use your hands and arms.
• Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, etc.
• Sweeping and mopping floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.
• Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.
• Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
• Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures.
• Follows the instructions and recommendations from the immediate supervisors to complete daily tasks.
• Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
• Daily feedback and reporting of issues as they arise.
• Adheres to proper food handling standards that include labels, dates and proper storage of food items.

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of two years of restaurant experience is preferred. Must be detail oriented, accurate and possess good organizational abilities and be capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of Point-of-Sale operations is preferred.

Must possess customer service skills and strong oral communication skills. Competency in dealing with Club members and fellow employees under circumstances requiring tact and diplomacy. Must possess the ability to work effectively under time deadlines.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Will have to work together with various staff and positions. Communicating with the front desk at the lodge, banquet teams, kitchen staff, valet, servers, and food runners are necessary to ensure a great experience for our Club members and guests.
