Job summary

Flying Horse Resort and Club in Colorado Springs is seeking motivated kitchen staff to maintain clean dish areas, prep basics, and support chefs during busy service periods.

You will operate dish machines, assist with kitchen tasks, and ensure food safety standards while collaborating with a dedicated team in a luxury hospitality setting. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean kitchen and properly wash/sort soiled dishes.
• Set up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
• Assist in all facets of the operation with a professional team.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Clean machines and appliances used in the kitchen.
• Report kitchen accidents or food safety issues and follow supervisor instructions.

Keeps dish area organized and free of clutter. Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks. Maintains clean/dry floors throughout the shift.Assist in all facets of the operationWork in a professional, best-in-class kitchen with a passionate team of cooks and ChefsWash and sanitize dishes using a dish machine and 3 compartment sinksStand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.Continuously bend, reach, twist and use your hands and arms.Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, etc.Sweeping and mopping floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures.Follows the instructions and recommendations from the immediate supervisors to complete daily tasks.Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all timesDaily feedback and reporting of issues as they arise.Adheres to proper food handling standards that include labels, dates and proper storage of food items.QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:A minimum of two years of restaurant experience is preferred. Must be detail oriented, accurate and possess good organizational abilities and be capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of Point-of-Sale operations is preferred.Must possess customer service skills and strong oral communication skills. Competency in dealing with Club members and fellow employees under circumstances requiring tact and diplomacy. Must possess the ability to work effectively under time deadlines.ADDITIONAL NOTES:Will have to work together with various staff and positions.
