Job summary

Hyatt Place Bloomington, IN is seeking a customer-focused service team member to support bar and dining operations. You will greet guests, take and prepare orders, and ensure timely service while maintaining a clean, safe work environment in accordance with brand standards.

Responsibilities include delivering drinks and meals, coordinating with the kitchen, and upselling desserts or specials to enhance guest experience. OSHA safety practices and alcohol-service certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the majority of the shift in a standing position and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Must communicate well with Kitchen Manager and co-workers.
• Certified in Serving Alcohol or similar program; OSHA training completed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at bar and tables and present menus and specials.
• Take drink/food orders and relay to kitchen; deliver orders to tables.
• Maintain clean, organized workstation and adhere to safety standards.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and suggest desserts or add-ons as appropriate.
• Comply with hotel/franchise standards and OSHA requirements.

Job Summary

Produces food products that conform to hotel and ZMC Hotels standards and meet or exceed guest expectations. Practices safe and sanitary work habits. Waits on Bar guests, obtains drink and/or food order and serves. Prepares drinks for the cocktail server. Responsibilities include cleaning and restocking.

Responsibilities

• Must have knowledge of fundamental principles and procedures of food preparation.
• Must keep workstation clean and organized.
• Must be capable of preparing a minimum of 200 covers in and 8-hour shift.
• Must adhere to hotel/franchise and ZMC Hotels standards.
• Must be familiar with and adhere to standard recipes.
• Must communicate well with Kitchen Manager and co-workers.
• Must have knowledge of and adhere to OSHA requirements.
• Must practice safe working habits.
• Must attend food handlers' course as required by county.
• Must complete tasks assigned by Kitchen Manager and General Manager.
• All duties must be carried out in a safe manner.
• Be flexible and adaptable to the changes that will occur to your job
• Employee must treat everyone with dignity and respect.
• Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.
• Promptly greet guests at bar and tables, offer food menu, inform them of drink specials.
• Obtain the order and give to the kitchen for food preparation or mix drink as ordered then deliver order.
• Return to table periodically to make sure all needs are met, offer dessert.
• Basic knowledge of menu prices and composition.

• Strong Guest Service Skills
• Must have attention to detail and be customer service oriented.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers.
• Certified in Serving Alcohol with Care of similar program.
• Successfully complete training of required OSHA programs.
