As a Skilled Maintenance II, you will read plans, troubleshoot plumbing systems, estimate materials, and assist supervision while remaining on-call for emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of full-time, professional experience in a related field.
• Willingness to obtain Backflow Inspection and Testing Certification within 1 year.
• Willingness to obtain Mechanical IV license within 1 year.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, construction, repair, and maintenance of city buildings and systems.
• Troubleshoot and design maintenance solutions using in-depth plumbing knowledge.
• Read plans and drawings; assess projects and lay out work.
• Use hand and power tools to complete tasks efficiently.
• Estimate time, materials, and equipment for projects.
• Inspect fields for quality, safety, and policy compliance.
• Provide technical support to supervisors and respond to inquiries.
• On-call for emergencies; follow safety practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
