Job summary

University of Richmond is seeking a skilled Maintenance Plumber to maintain and repair plumbing systems across campus, ensuring safe water supply and sanitary waste management. The role requires interpreting schematics, adhering to IPC and OSHA standards, and working with limited supervision to support facilities operations.

The position is full-time, on-site, with on-call rotations for emergencies and involvement in renovation projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical training certificate in Plumbing Journeyman's Certificate.
• 5 years' progressive experience in plumbing construction and/or maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair varied plumbing systems including domestic water supply, site utility and fire main supply, building and site sanitary, fixtures and specialties, storm drains.
• Install or modify systems for small renovation projects.
• Work safely in crawl spaces, occupied spaces, excavations, and construction areas.
• Carry out project or maintenance work with minimal supervision.
• Assist in special events as required.
