Job summary

Riverside Health System in Williamsburg, Virginia seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform basic electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry work, and to handle installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of facility buildings and equipment.

You will participate in renovations to rooms and apartments, collaborate with other departments on special projects, and may be required for on-call coverage and 12-hour shifts for snow removal or storm cleanup.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Trade training in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical is preferred.
• Good basic computer skills to complete online training.

Responsibilities

• Assists with basic electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry tasks.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs facility buildings and equipment.
• Supports renovations to rooms and apartments and works on special assignments with other departments.
• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance and ensures work areas are clean and orderly.
• Works with on-call schedule, shifts and emergency 12-hour duties as needed.
• Ensures safety and regulatory compliance in all maintenance activities.
