Job summary

Power Design in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a Technical Plumbing Trainer to lead hands-on plumbing training for apprentices and field staff, develop curriculum, and evaluate new hires. You will mentor crews, deliver classroom and lab sessions, and partner with leaders to improve programs.

The role emphasizes strong plumbing expertise, teaching ability, and commitment to growth, with opportunities to influence workforce development across our national projects and partner programs.

Qualifications

• Active plumbing license (or eligible to obtain licensure in Florida).
• 5+ years of hands-on commercial plumbing construction experience.
• Ability to mentor and teach apprentices and staff.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills for group settings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for content creation and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person, hands-on plumbing training to apprentices and staff at our facilities and on job sites.
• Teach plumbing best practices, standards, safety expectations, and field procedures.
• Conduct skill evaluations for new hires and promotions.
• Mentor and develop apprentices through classroom and lab sessions.
• Design and maintain training content, lesson plans, and assessments.
• Collaborate with field leaders to improve training programs.
