Job summary

Meares Plumbing & Electrical Inc. is seeking an experienced Plumbing Service Manager to lead and develop our service technicians, while also performing plumbing service, repair, installation, troubleshooting and field work as needed.

This hands‑on management role emphasizes leadership, safety, and delivering top customer service. The ideal candidate will coach teams, manage schedules, ensure quality workmanship, and coordinate parts and materials.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of hands‑on plumbing experience in service and repair.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory, management, or team lead experience.
Strong plumbing troubleshooting, diagnostic, repair, and installation skills.
Thorough understanding of plumbing systems, tools, codes, and best practices.
Must be willing and physically able to perform plumbing work in the field.

Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, coach, and support service technicians to ensure quality workmanship and customer service.
Perform plumbing service and repair work in the field when needed, including troubleshooting and installations.
Assist with hiring, training, performance management, scheduling, and disciplinary matters.
Evaluate workload and technician schedules to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Coordinate materials, equipment, tools, and parts needed for scheduled work.
Monitor labor, materials, job performance, and callbacks.
