The Plumbing & Mechanical Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Latham, NY. This position is responsible for reviewing plans and specifications, performing detailed quantity takeoffs for plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems, and preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for commercial and industrial projects. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing bid documents, coordinating with project managers and field supervisors, soliciting and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotes, and updating cost databases and historical pricing information. The estimator collaborates with the design/build team to develop value-engineered solutions, supports pre-construction planning, and participates in bid reviews and negotiations. The role also involves maintaining organized documentation, meeting bid deadlines, and contributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes.
