Job summary

PAE is seeking a Plumbing Design Engineering Intern to join our team in Portland, OR and other major offices. You will participate in a 10- to 12-week paid program, gaining hands-on experience in mechanical, plumbing and building systems design while learning the PAE approach to sustainable engineering.

Interns work with engineering teams on projects ranging from small retrofits to high-performance Living Buildings, performing CAD/Revit tasks, NEC reviews, site visits, and construction support

Qualifications

• Pursuing Civil/Environmental/Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Interest in building design and sustainable engineering.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Technology design including structured-cabling, audiovisual, and security-system design.
• CAD and Revit tasks supporting project teams.
• NEC Review and one-line diagram layouts.
• Reviewable energies and construction administration support.
• General project timeline overview and specifications.
• Site Visits/Site Observation Reports and cost estimation review.
