Job summary

Energy + Environmental Economics (E3) seeks consultants to work on high-impact energy policy and market forecasting. You will contribute to building PLEXOS production simulations and capacity expansion models, translate results for stakeholders, and support written analyses and client-ready deliverables.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience with PLEXOS/EnCompass for ST/LT simulations.
• Master's degree or Ph.D. in engineering, economics, computer science, optimization, public policy or related field.
• 3-5+ years of energy-related industry experience.
• Strong modeling and analytical capabilities; ability to write and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLEXOS production simulation and/or capacity expansion models addressing client questions.
• Identify modeling approaches, discuss with the PLEXOS modeling team and project leads.
• Gather data from clients and translate into accurate models.
• Apply QA/QC practices to debug cases and assess results.
• Translate results into clear visual representations for clients.
• Contribute to reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
• Assist with proposal writing and internal initiatives.
