Job summary

Energy Exemplar is seeking an Energy Market Analyst to lead energy market model projects focused on the US. You will design PLEXOS-based solutions, calibrate models to benchmarks, and advise on strategic applications while supporting business development with technical insights.

Experience in electricity markets, market economics, forecasting, hedging, and risk assessment is essential. This role offers remote work options within the Americas with collaboration across a global team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electricity markets, power trading or planning & operations
• Experience in energy market modeling via optimization tools
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time
• Self-driven with a focus on quality and results
• Familiarity with standard Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with ENTSO-E working groups is a plus

Responsibilities

• Gather customer requirements and design PLEXOS-based modeling solutions
• Calibrate models to historical benchmarks and advise on strategic applications
• Develop test plans and deliver training on PLEXOS usage
• Support sales with technical presentations and RFIs/RFPs
• Provide market insights to inform product roadmap
• Present findings at conferences and webinars
