Job summary

Refresco Beverages US Inc. operates a production facility in Alabama seeking a skilled controls & automation technician. You will troubleshoot PLCs, calibrate equipment, and perform maintenance on packaging and processing lines to ensure continuous operation.

This role requires hands-on PLC programming knowledge, HMI experience, and the ability to collaborate with maintenance and production teams to implement improvements while adhering to GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

Must have hands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting and repair, including reading electrical schematics.
Experience with PLC upgrades and HMI integration.
Familiar with GMPs, PPE and food manufacturing safety standards.
Ability to calibrate and test equipment to meet specifications.
Capability to modify programs for system optimization and safety enhancements.

Responsibilities

Adhere to health and safety policies and PPE requirements in a food manufacturing environment.
Lead and participate in troubleshooting equipment failures with production teams.
Maintain and upgrade production equipment; install and test new packaging and processing equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC and automation issues, including wiring and components.
Calibrate and test equipment for accuracy; support PLC system upgrades.
Develop and share improvements to increase reliability and reduce costs.
Train team members on basic PLC functions and troubleshooting and maintain records of changes.
