Job summary

aametals is seeking a PLC/Controls Technician to maintain and troubleshoot plant electrical and control systems. You will work with Rockwell, Siemens, GE Fanuc, Automation Direct, and Eurotherm platforms across AC/DC motors, drives, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, reading electrical drawings/P&IDs, and strong communication. On-site position with competitive benefits and safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing maintaining automated systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480V, 3-phase; read electrical drawings and P&IDs.
• Strong verbal and written communication to coordinate repairs.
• Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, GE Fanuc, Automation Direct, Eurotherm PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing and facility equipment across automated assets.
• Apply knowledge of VFDs, PLCs, PCs across platforms to troubleshoot and modify equipment.
• Interpret schematics and electrical drawings for repairs; work with AC/DC motors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics.
• Follow NFPA 70E safety standards; document repairs in CMMS.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance; assist with breakdown troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with codes, GMP, safety, and quality procedures.
