Job summary

Oatey seeks an Engineering Technician to support maintenance and engineering teams on the production floor. You will apply skills from an engineering/tech program to keep production equipment running and optimized.

Responsibilities include guiding maintenance efforts, troubleshooting, and coordinating with plant leadership to maintain safety and uptime. 2-year degree required; 3–5 years field experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 Year Associates Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering
• Minimum 3–5 years as a professional industrial maintenance technician
• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Ability to diagnose with PLCs and diagnostic programs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adhere to Lock Out Tag Out and safety programs
• Willingness to complete Haz Mat refresher and maintain safety practices

Responsibilities

• Support industrial maintenance and engineering teams on the production floor
• Provide tactical and strategic guidance to improve uptime and maintenance
• Consult with engineering, maintenance and production leadership for safe and productive shift focus
