Job summary

Reser in Memphis, TN, is seeking a hands-on PLC controls engineer to design, develop, and integrate Rockwell-based drive systems for our manufacturing operations. You will build control cabinets, troubleshoot systems, and collaborate with maintenance, IT, and operations to meet production goals.

The role requires familiarity with Rockwell RSLogix 5000, FactoryTalk View, networking, and reading P&ID/Electrical schematics; experience with SCADA and data reporting is a plus.

Qualifications

• Technical, trade, or engineering graduate with focus on industrial electrical or automation preferred.
• Experience with process controls, coordination of controls, interlocking, automation controls, safety standards.
• Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&ID drawings.

Responsibilities

• Build, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLC systems.
• Modify programs for efficient operation of plant machinery.
• Design and build control cabinets for machinery.
• Collaborate with vendors, maintenance, and operations on automated systems.
• Train maintenance personnel in corrective maintenance and installation.
• Migrate to Rockwell platform where needed.
• Create self-diagnosis routines and alarms.
• Manage system access, backups, and data recovery.
• Work with Rockwell software (RSLogix 5000, FactoryTalk View) and related controls.
• Coordinate with IT to maintain line services.
• Maintain safety certifications and compliance with OSHA/ISO standards.
