Job summary

Reser’s Fine Foods seeks a skilled PLC/automation engineer to design, implement, service and optimize control systems in a refrigerated food manufacturing environment. You will develop and maintain PLC programs, build control cabinets, and collaborate with IT and operations to ensure reliable line performance.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, familiarity with Rockwell equipment, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced plant setting.

Qualifications

• Technical/engineering graduate or equivalent experience in industrial electrical/automation.
• Experience with process controls, interlocking of controls, automation controls and safety standards.
• Basic Ethernet networking knowledge.
• Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&ID drawings.

Responsibilities

• Builds, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains PLC systems.
• Designs and builds control cabinets for plant machinery.
• Collaborates with vendors, maintenance and operations to develop automated PLC and drive systems.
• Trains maintenance personnel in corrective maintenance and installation of equipment.
• Implements new control systems migrating to the Rockwell platform.
• Creates self-diagnosis routines and alarms for easier troubleshooting.
• Maintains system access, backups and data recovery.
• Works with Rockwell RSLogix 5000 & FactoryTalk View and related networking.
