Job summary
White-Recruitment in Hickory, NC is seeking a hands-on Control System Engineer to maintain and improve industrial automation and control systems in a manufacturing setting.
You will diagnose PLC faults with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs, program using Studio 5000 or RSLogix, and support upgrades while collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams.
The role focuses on reliability, process improvement and safe operation, with opportunities to work on capital projects and documentation.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs.
- Experience programming Studio 5000 and RSLogix.
- Knowledge of HMI systems and industrial control architectures.
Responsibilities
- Develop, troubleshoot and maintain industrial control systems, with a focus on Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs.
- Diagnose and resolve PLC, HMI, electrical control and automation faults to minimise downtime.
- Support PLC programming, modifications and system upgrades using Rockwell software (Studio 5000/RSLogix).
- Work with industrial networks, drives, sensors, instrumentation and associated control equipment.
- Collaborate with maintenance, manufacturing and engineering teams to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to enhance automation, process control and system performance.
- Support installation, commissioning and integration of new equipment and control systems.
- Maintain technical documentation, backups and engineering records.
- Follow safety procedures and standards on industrial equipment.
