Job summary

The Mother Church in Boston is seeking a Plaza Activities Associate to welcome visitors, host the How Do You See the World exhibit and Mapparium, and lead guided tours. The role blends hospitality with spiritual ministry, inviting guests to leave with greater clarity and inspiration.

You will work on the Plaza and in Publishing House spaces during tour times, greeting families, sharing accurate information about Christian Science, and supporting safety and operations under supervision.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in hospitality, customer service, visitor engagement, teaching, public speaking, tour guiding, or a related public facing role.
• Branch church or field work with some experience speaking with the public about Christian Science is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit Host Responsibilities: Greet visitors warmly; identify needs; share accurate info about exhibits and Church services; monitor guest flow; operate POS; perform opening/closing duties; orient visitors to the exhibit; manage Mapparium guidelines; engage children and families; keep spaces clean; assist with group visits; record engagement data; perform other duties.
