Job summary

Boston Red Sox in Fort Myers, FL is offering a Player Development Associate role from February 2027 to November 2027. The position supports day-to-day baseball operations at our Fort Myers complex, collaborating with front office staff, coordinators and coaches to enhance player development.

The role involves handling video and data, using top tech like Blast, Rapsodo, Trackman and high speed cameras, and contributing to our improvement projects with the Player Development team.

Qualifications

• Analytics: derive insights from large data sets (ball flight, biomechanics).
• Strong communication across groups and teams.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day logistics for Minor League Spring Training, Extended Spring Training, Florida Complex League and Off-Season Training.
• Collect, organize and distribute video and tracking data.
• Operate and maintain baseball technologies (Blast, Rapsodo, Trackman, Hawkeye, Kinatrax, high-speed cameras).
• Share performance insights with players and staff.
• Collaborate with coaches to monitor player goals and progress.
• Support ad hoc research and analysis for Player Development initiatives.
• Develop domain-specific baseball operations competencies through hands-on experience and mentorship.
