Job summary

Boston Red Sox is offering a Baseball Operations Associate program in Boston to provide hands-on experience across Acquisitions or Baseball Administration & Strategy domains. The role builds a foundation in operations with curriculum, projects, and exposure to high-level decision making.

Prior baseball experience is not mandatory, and a monthly living stipend is provided. This program starts January or June 2027, runs through October 31, 2027, and pays $20 per hour with opportunities to explore

Qualifications

• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Interest in baseball operations and data-driven decision making.
• Prior baseball or sport experience is not required.
• Valid Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations for primary department, including administrative duties, strategic initiatives, logistical management, and research projects.
• Prepare and maintain information and materials, including player research for key front office decisions.
• Creatively pursue ways to improve internal processes, while generating ideas for future team projects.
• Support video, data, and technology management and operation.
• Provide strategic and logistical support for important events such as the MLB Draft, Trade Deadline, free agency, and salary arbitration.
• Develop core and domain-specific baseball operations competencies through hands-on experience, tailored education, and mentorship.
