Job summary

The Boston Red Sox's Baseball Operations Associate program offers hands-on experience across the Acquisitions or Baseball Administration & Strategy domains. Associates will contribute to one primary area while supporting department-wide initiatives and projects, gaining exposure to decision-making processes at the highest level of the game.

The program begins in January 2027 or June 2027, depending on candidate availability, and runs through October 31, 2027.

Qualifications

• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Experience with SQL, R, Python is a plus, but not required.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
• Prior baseball or sport experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day operations for the department, including admin duties, strategic initiatives, and research projects.
• Prepare materials, including player research for front office decision making.
• Pursue improvements to internal processes and contribute ideas for future projects.
• Support video, data, and technology management and operation.
• Provide strategic and logistical support for events like the MLB Draft and salary arbitration.
• Develop core baseball operations competencies through hands-on experience and mentorship.
