Job summary

On Location is seeking a Business Development Manager to curate and sell bespoke programmes for global and domestic events. You will manage proposals, budgets, and contracting, working with cross-functional teams to meet client needs and maximize revenue.

The role requires 5+ years in a leadership capacity, fluency in English, and willingness to travel up to 20% annually, including nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business Development, Account Management, or related field.
• Experience in a management position (minimum of 5+ years).
• Fluency in English (oral and written).
• Must be adaptable with travel schedule and able to travel—15–20% annually and 1–2 months during events.

Responsibilities

• Establish technology-driven initiatives to enhance efficiency and streamline operations.
• Maintain knowledge of offerings and inventory for rightsholder properties and VIP clients; prepare communications and align with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients from initial contact through contracting and execution.
• Identify hospitality requirements, tailor solutions to client objectives, and grow revenue opportunities.
• Build and manage event budgets in Airtable or Excel with oversight from management.
• Author, edit, and produce proposal materials; manage contracting processes and approvals.
• Support RFIs/RFPs and client brief responses as required.
• Maintain client records in CRM (Salesforce) and inventory systems.
• Analyse post-event financials, expenses, payments, and reconciliations.
• Review post-event notes and surveys to ensure brand quality standards.
• Assemble information from departments into deliverables with timelines and staffing plans.
• Draft and edit written materials, case studies, and executive summaries.
