Job summary

Credit Acceptance is seeking a Director of Data Platform to provide technical and architectural leadership within its data engineering organization. The role will lead the technical vision, strategy, architecture, and execution of a modern data platform enabling AI at scale.

You will guide production deployments, collaborate with data and cross‑functional teams, and mentor engineers to build robust, scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field of study; or equivalent work
• Experience leading data platform teams and driving architecture decisions
• Strong communication and collaboration across engineering and business teams

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the long‑term vision for enterprise data platforms and architecture
• Oversee architecture, design and development of scalable data platform enabling AI-driven insights
• Lead with a platform and AI‑first approach to deliver production‑grade data solutions
• Communicate data strategies, roadmaps and progress to executives and stakeholders
• Mentor engineers, build a strong engineering discipline, and grow talent
• Partner with data and cross‑functional teams on technology strategy and decision making
