Job summary

WRITER is seeking an Infrastructure engineer to join our hybrid teams across NYC, SF, Seattle, or London. You will own reliability, scalability, and performance of our AI-powered platform, partnering with product, security, and engineering to push our enterprise-grade solutions forward.

You’ll work across AWS/GCP/Azure, manage Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and Terraform-like tooling, and apply best practices for incident response, runbooks, and automation in Python or Go.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or similar.
• Experience running containerisation in production with Helm and Terraform or Pulumi on major cloud (AWS preferred).
• AI in workflow: daily use of AI tooling in infrastructure development and incident response.
• First-principles thinking to challenge status quo and balance reliability with velocity.
• Make reversible calls; monitor, log, and stress-test systems to improve resilience.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, performance, and efficiency of core services end-to-end, including SLOs and on-call duties.
• Define and protect the observability strategy, error budgets, and platform metrics.
• Collaborate across product, security, and engineering to align infra with business outcomes.
• Lead incident response, post-mortems, and root-cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
• Build scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure across cloud providers and Kubernetes-based stacks.
