Job summary

The Trade Desk, a global technology company, seeks a Systems Operations Engineer in New York to help maintain scalable platform services and incident response.

You will monitor, triage, collaborate with engineering, manage remediation tasks, and improve runbooks; weekend coverage may be required. This role focuses on reliability and documentation to support a high-availability advertising platform.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or relevant substitute experience.
• 6+ years of technical or application support experience.
• Strong knowledge of services support and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical expert and advisor to junior engineers.
• Monitor platform services at escalated tier via telemetry and alerts; triage issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to remediate issues.
• Manage remediation task workflow.
• Proactively update systems operations runbooks and docs.
• Increase efficiency of incident response by defining metrics.
• Occasional weekend coverage may be required.
