Job summary

General Motors Company is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering for Adaptive Bench Compute to lead a ~15-person team across platform services, bench integration, scheduling, and observability. You will shape the day-to-day technical direction, roadmap, and multi-site operations for hundreds of benches in automotive test environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or equivalent practical experience in CS/CE or related field.
• Experience delivering measurable outcomes for a platform or service.
• Proven leadership of large software/infra teams across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-site platform engineering and bench compute infrastructure.
• Own roadmaps, capacity planning, and cost baselines across cloud and hardware.
• Define and track KSIs/KPIs; enable data-driven improvements.
• Coordinate with IT, Networking, and lab ops for scalable deployments.
• Lead recruitment, coaching, and leadership depth across teams.
• Communicate risks and recommendations to executives and stakeholders.
