Job summary

Starbucks Coffee Company is seeking an experienced Platform Engineering lead to guide a team focused on platform automation and security. You will own design, delivery, and operations of scalable solutions, shaping technology strategy and roadmaps for new and existing platforms.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, and Development teams, ensuring secure, observable, and self-service platforms while maintaining strong engineering discipline.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development and operations.
• 3-5 years of leading or managing systems or application development projects of all sizes and complexities.
• 3-5 years of leading or managing small technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical team through the solution design process and drive delivery across projects.
• Ensure platform has design patterns and coding standards, with secure, durable, scalable solutions.
• Drive platform adoption and maintain self-service capabilities with strong developer experience.
• Lead production support for platform components and respond to high severity security incidents.
