Job summary

Starbucks Coffee Company in Seattle is seeking a Platform Engineering lead to drive a team focused on platform automation and security, delivering scalable, secure solutions and roadmaps for core applications and platforms.

You will guide design, coordinate cross-functional efforts with Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, QA and development teams, and ensure best practices, self-service tooling, and production reliability across the platform ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development and operations experience.
• 3–5 years leading or managing systems or application development projects of all sizes.
• 3–5 years leading or managing small technical teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical team through solution design and delivery.
• Grow talent on the team through all project phases.
• Ensure secure, durable, scalable platform designs and coding standards.
• Drive platform automation and security compliance with Cloud Security requirements.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, QA and development teams.
