Job summary
Starbucks Coffee Company is seeking an engineer lead for Starbucks Technology Nashville to deliver high-quality, reliable technologies and security capabilities supporting the Starbucks Engineering Platform. You will be accountable for installation, configuration, monitoring, analysis, maintenance, and technical support of the platform.
The role requires 8–10 years in software development with 2+ years leading teams, a CS degree, and deep experience in distributed systems and cloud platforms
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of professional industry experience with software development.
- 2 years of leading teams of four or more software developers.
- 7+ years of experience in system administration, network administration, and systems engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in one or more languages: C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl and/or Ruby.
- 5+ years experience with large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures.
Responsibilities
- Communicate complex ideas to non-technical peers and customers.
- Establish cross-functional relationships with business and technology partners.
- Support the development team and resolve developer issues promptly.
- Engineer build and release processes.
- Manage and partner with technology vendors to deliver business objectives.
- Research and recommend standards, products, and services.
- Ensure secure, stable, compliant application and infrastructure architectures.
