Job summary

SnapLogic Inc. in San Mateo, CA, seeks a Platform Engineering leader to own the platform you service, including the control plane, data layer, and production tooling.

You will set architectural direction, build and grow the team, and stay close enough to the systems to make informed decisions. You will lead a platform with roughly 50 MongoDB clusters across production and test, ensuring end-to-end understanding and reliability.

Qualifications

• Strong programming fundamentals in Java and/or Python.
• Experience with observability tooling and SRE practices.
• 10+ years building and operating production backend systems.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB or NoSQL databases at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform you service, including control plane and data layer.
• Lead engineering teams, hire, and manage budgets and growth.
• Drive reliability, scale, and platform health with cross-functional teams.
• Review designs, decide build vs buy, and ensure production readiness.
