Job summary

SnapLogic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform team. You will design, build, and operate services that power the control plane, ensuring resilience and scalability for enterprise customers.

The role requires ownership across the lifecycle, from design to production, with focus on performance optimization and reliable operation. The position is hybrid, based in San Mateo, CA, with in-office work two days per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production backend systems.
• Strong programming fundamentals in Java or Python.
• Experience operating distributed systems in production.
• Track record of taking features from design to production.
• Solid grasp of relational or NoSQL databases.
• BS in CS, CE, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate services and infrastructure that make up SnapLogic's control plane.
• Take end-to-end ownership from design through production rollout and monitoring.
• Improve platform reliability, performance, and scalability across services and data layer.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, turning fixes into durable improvements.
• Contribute to data-layer work: query and index tuning, schema/access pattern reviews.
